I took the retirement the day after I turned 55... NYC law for teachers was 25/55 ... retire with the full pension at 55 with at least 25 years worked ... when I started in '90 it was straight up 20 years of work/any age= NYPD and FDNY ..
met a guy who was 41 and retiring with a full pension ...
