MFO: Glad your back! Are you out of the racoon house?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59pm
Krys O.:

↳ MFO @12:57

Yes!

Mr Fab: Welcome back, Krys!

But I'm hearing a version of
CLose To You." Is this you?

Avatar 🎢 Swag For Life Member 1:01pm
Webhamster Henry: My son is moving later this month and is very excited!
Avatar 1:02pm
Mr Fab: Ok, now I'm getting some wacky electronica.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02pm
MHLee:

↳ Mr Fab @1:02

Marshmello is a pretty popular weirdo
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:03pm
Krys O.: Dagnabbit! My file is not working. Danged Audacity. Please bear with me....I have to run the show 'manually'....
Avatar 🎢 Swag For Life Member 1:03pm
Scott From Boston: I came here for the freeform… And I stayed for the freeform
Avatar 🎢 Swag For Life Member 1:05pm
WR: Welcome back, hope the move has no significant unexpected curves.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:09pm
Krys O.: It seems that my Audacity was corrupted back in March. I had to do this for the the last show in March. So sorry for the glitches. I'm essentially playing the Audacity project because the mp3 was kaput.

Scott From Boston: The most important thing is the kitties!!🐈‍⬛

Mr Fab:

↳ Krys O. @1:09

Don't sweat it - It's hasn't been real bad so far. *fingers crossed.*
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15pm
Krys O.:

↳ Mr Fab @1:11

Oh, I'm sweating for certain....
Avatar 🎢 Swag For Life Member 1:20pm
Webhamster Henry: Poooorgie! Porgie Tirebiter!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:23pm
Krys O.: Thanks to Henry Aldrich I had a couple of minutes to look up a solution. Fingers crossed this works from now on. (cue the Bugs Bunny in a spaceship scream)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:29pm
Krys O.: That tympani is just too much.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:30pm
Krys O.: After the earlier glitches, the Aldrich Family consternation is a relief.
Avatar 🎢 Swag For Life Member 1:35pm
Webhamster Henry: The wartime feel of this kind of stupid story is very strong: ration coupons, housing shortage, Postum instead of coffee...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:38pm
Krys O.:

↳ Webhamster Henry @1:35

That's right. I really guffawed at the Postum commercial advising consumers not to expect Postum to taste like coffee in any way.
Avatar 1:50pm
Mr Fab: I never heard of Postum. What is it? Do they still sell it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:52pm
Krys O.:

↳ Mr Fab @1:50

Yes, it is still available. It is made from chicory. It's intended for those who want to avoid caffeine.
Avatar 🎢 Swag For Life Member 1:53pm
Webhamster Henry: WikiP: "Postum is made from roasted wheat bran and molasses." "Kraft discontinued production of Postum in 2007. In 2012, Kraft sold the Postum trademark and trade secret to teachers from North Carolina who are the owners of Eliza's Quest Food. In 2018, Postum was available at Albertsons, H-E-B, Ingles, Kroger, Natural Grocers and Walmart. "

Webhamster Henry: Speaking of moving, have you seen the Elliott Gould comedy "Move" which is very 70s?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:56pm
Krys O.:

↳ Webhamster Henry @1:54

Don't recall it off the top of my head. I did catch a lot of 70s TV as a kid.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:56pm
Krys O.:

Thanks for the info.

That's Charlie McCoy on harmonica and lead vocals.

Mr Fab: Very big show with some of the boys at my school. made some say: "I wanna be a truck driver when I grow up." Sure their parents were thrilled to hear that!

Claude Akins, the star of the show, came to eat at our church's weekend breakfast one day. That probably had a bit to do with it.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:42pm
Krys O.:

↳ Mr Fab @2:39

I totally forgot about that show until I added the song last night. Frank Converse was the co-star with Akins. BJ and the Bear was also a hit TV show. I blame Convoy.
Avatar 2:46pm
Mr Fab: "Convoy"! Yeah, is that were it all started? And the whole trucker CB radio/CB lingo craze. Another weird '70s fad that was everywhere for a bit, then vanished off the planet like it never existed..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:49pm
Krys O.:

↳ Mr Fab @2:46

It hung around on the C&W scene for a bit, especially with Dukes of Hazzard and other Southern influenced culture.
Avatar 🎢 Swag For Life Member 2:51pm
Webhamster Henry: My father had CBs in his car that kept getting ripped off (it was a green Mercury Cougar convertible).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:51pm
Krys O.:

↳ Webhamster Henry @2:51

Wow!
Avatar 🎢 Swag For Life Member 2:52pm
Webhamster Henry: That car got about 9 mpg. hahah.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:52pm
Krys O.: Thank you to all for your patience. I resolve with my whole heart to prevent this issue in the future. See you next week!
Avatar 🎢 Swag For Life Member 2:53pm
Webhamster Henry: Ahh See ya next time Krys!
Avatar 🎢 Swag For Life Member 2:53pm
