all the old folks seats in the balcony - my preferred seating in that venue - are sold out in my town but I'm still going.

Jesse Dorris:
he-he-hellooooo everyone, what a treat this week, settle in!

jakrr:
Loved them in the mid '80s and they're still awesome. Music that stands the test of time is the only music worth listening to by and large
Realizing John Hughes almost certainly sourced his rock posters from the original Wax Trax store in Chicago made so many puzzling set dressing choices make so much more sense! (See also: the boys' Laurie Anderson pin-up in Weird Science)

this was/is a great collection of early years singles & eps - not a bad place to start for the uninitiated! I Love & will always cherish the sound of the ‘early years’!
love hearing songs for the first time by bands I've known for a while, thanks!

alex:
TY JESSE. I got really into this alb after being into their other stuff for years. Very much of its time but I love the programming, samples, etc.

Rich in Washington:
I've been exploring this era of their music lately. I sorta lost track of them between Crackdown and their house era (Plasticity, Int'l Language, etc).
2:47pm
alex:
Their later stuff is pretty cool. Richard H. Kirk had a 90s alb on Warp or Mute I think that was pretty nice.

2:48pm
Rich in Washington:
I'm glad Mallinder has assumed the mantle of CV again. I loved the Kirk reboot stuff but it was also indistinguishable from his solo efforts (Sandoz, Biochemical Dread, et al). Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's nice to hear Mal's voice and take on CV again.

Rich in Washington:
BTW: there's an entirely new Cabaret Voltaire composition on the new live album. It's a Chris Watson composed piece and it's incredible.
