Say, Bob - I'm testing out this canned White Russian drink. It's slightly funky tasting, which I think comes with being in a can. It tastes pretty good, and is quite strong. Not the same as hand poured, but I wasn't expecting that. Did I mention that it was strong?
Beantown! It's coming back...I had 110 restored, then 220, finally got my kitchen lights replaced today, and the burned up HVAC motor is being replaced tomorrow. Got my wifi back on Tuesday! Lightning left burn marks everywhere. They have to make some upgrades and rebuild the second floor of the front house...thankfully the tree didn't hit me!
WhewW Finally. A friend of mine had a neighbor's tree bisect her house during a storm last summer. It's been a never-ending nightmare for her since then, between the insurance company and contractors.

Dexter Gordon plays on Herbie's original version. I have some live albums of Dexter in Denmark, recorded by the engineer who recorded The Matadors. It's all connected!
Dave Mason was so great! That multi fold out marble vinyl LP on Blue thumb in 1970 was something to behold! LOVED IT. Good LP with mama Cass a year later too and then his Traffic and solo stuff. SO much good stuff!
For sure. But to break through, then have the rest ignored, is stranger to me.

so whenever someone says so and so is the most underrated such and such, they are mistaken. The most underrated are the ones nobody has ever heard of

We got to go but I would like to request look at me look at you by Dave Mason... it's got a terrific guitar solo that isn't too technical but he doesn't miss a Beat...cheers all...:)

And with that great Van Dyke Parks tune, I must bid adieu. Thanks Bob and Gina for always a great time- and coveting of your collection. Have a good week everyone!
Snayle - An inebriated Harry Nilsson was heckling them from the audience, so they both ganged up on him! They pleaded for him to come up and play or sing with them, but of course he refused.
at every turn it just seemed like it wasn't meant to be. Start to finish. My mother and I spent 5 weeks there and had to return to new york. We lost about $11k. But at least I was able to declare bankruptcy the following spring
a few people around here dress somewhat like that, or similarly stylish. far more often we see colorfully dressed/adorned people that don't really have a sense of style or aesthetic but are mimicking a mishmosh of things they've seen in contemporary photoshoots of romanticized fake "hippies", with over-the-top facsimiles of famous people in the 60s - as if everyone dressed like that!
...anyway, genuine or not it's good to see.
Very good.
That's why I like vintage game shows, where you get to see how people really dressed and looked, not the versions that have been recreated and distorted over time
if i remember correctly Jimi wanted children on the cover, in a kind of scene to suggest the wisdom of children, over adults. ...something like that.

a few people around here dress somewhat like that, or similarly stylish. far more often we see colorfully dressed/adorned people that don't really have a sense of style or aesthetic but are mimicking a mishmosh of things they've seen in contemporary photoshoots of romanticized fake "hippies", with over-the-top facsimiles of famous people in the 60s - as if everyone dressed like that!...anyway, genuine or not it's good to see.
Very good.
