hi Matt! ...i just had MORE soup! my downstairs neighbor is about to call it quits on his excellent restaurant so i bought some delicious lentil soup from him.
...if i won the lottery (which i rarely play) i'd pay his past-due bills so he could at least stay through the tourist season...
...but soup twice in one evening!
yeah, had many of those, haven't we!
...if he had more time i think he could make it work; but he's already behind on the rent. i like him as a neighbor too (even though his dog barks A LOT!) he's been bringing goats from his farm here every weekend for an improvised petting zoo in our yard! i Love it. (and his barky little furball is a sweetheart)
but digital files lack the warmth of my scratched to shit, warped, and broken in half copy of whipped cream and other delights that i nicked from a retirement home dumpster

i'm picking away at digitizing my whole collection of analogue media as well, as i slowly sell my physical collection...but to wav files on a 5tb hard drive, and flac files on a 2tb drive.
Although another generation digitized, the stream is going to add at least one digitalization to the music. It can sound fine it you rip it well, plus it’s less time *searching* for the physical copies of all this media.

Just want to say how grateful I am for your show, Danny. I often listen to it on the archives because I love it on a weekend night, drink in hand...every show is a treat and we're lucky to have you as our guide thru the dreamy, evocative, cinematic vibes you share.
Like tom tom (I believe) has said, CBF has a certain vibe and its favorite genres every week, yet it’s still original and fresh, without repeating the same songs. Definitely a welcome programme!! 💙🔥
Jill A, it’s small. More or less a sectioned off portion of the Fullerton Museum downtown. There’s a Fender historian in town that I helped wiht a project many years ago. It was pretty fun being around that level of guitar nerd. There was a prototype Strat that he and another guy had taken apart to study the wiring.
my narcolepsy doesn't strike when i'm doing something important like listening to the cool blue flame. sleep can usually wait until i'm working, or driving.

Ha, yes, my memory of that area tends to be the drive between work and home, since I was teaching 4 classes a semester at Cal State while finishing my dissertation at that time. I did have a friend who made sure I got out from time to time (and we went to Disneyland to celebrate finishing our respective dissertations)
