When you were playing “the medium is the massage“ earlier, I was against struck by how influential it was to negativland. I know they said they were inspired by it, but listening to it I realize they’ve pretty much based their whole career on that album.
I think that is indicative of who Genesis P. Orridge was

I wasn’t too impressed with most of Throbbing Gristle. They seemed to try too hard to be shocking! and outrageous! So I didn’t take them too seriously. Imagine my surprise when that psychic TV album came out with “the orchids.” I was, as our British friends say, gobsmacked. So gorgeous.
