So, just finished hanging at the Austin Record Convention and bought some goodies from Kip! Was hanging out with Kris Holmes too at his booth. Then we all went to eat BBQ at Stiles Switch BBQ! Had a great time! Will see them again tomorrow at the convention

When I was young, I used to poop in my mom's closet and blame it on the cat. Then fall asleep listening to WFMU and Blissland.net
I got to see him in a small club in Bloomington, IN in the 90s. He had two gold Strats that were constantly alternated because he played so goddmamn hard that he regularly broke strings, including the insane .060 gauge low E string. His wife spent the whole show restringing and retuning and handing him the fresh guitar. He would need sometimes 3 guitar changes per song. That's how relentlessly hard the man played.

DD was the complete opposite. The other interesting thing is that DD was Lebanese and originally learned to pick in a rapid circular pattern on a traditional oud with a goose quill. He later translated that technique to electric guitar.

I used to be a colour printer in my very early career & later moved into web & usability testing somewhat...and the variations in finding the right colour combos that meet the visual needs of the most folks possible is quite a minefield...

There’s may still be a flea market in Leominster right outside of Worcester. It used to cough up great records all the time. I got my Beep Beeps’s there.

Exactly...before the internet...song "keywords" were often the order of the day... & probably brought in some level of radio airplay and maybe gig/live show income...if lucky enough to break through.
Sorry to hear...tree fruit farming is such a precarious way to make a living... especially with all the weird climate patterns of late as well as fuel, fertilizer & labour costs all on the rise too...it's a tough life.
I lived right next door in Brentwood in the summer of '68...:)

when I saw them they were billed as the two of them, not yet returned to the Zombies name. I saw the names on the marquee and my eyes popped! I drove home, asked my wife if she was interested, then went back and bought tickets.

I was curious...re that Eddie C song...& in the USA...voting age was still 21...until it dropped to 18 in the early 70s. So your "value" to plenty of politicians even back then...was pretty minimal.
He didn't get much traction down here... just that single, right ? Couple LPs in Canada ?

Snayle - A long history. He had another 45 out here called "Lovin' You Ain't Easy" that's also great. Goes back to the '60s - in a band called Les Chancelliers. Many albums, mostly Canadian only.
