luca, I passed BOC on like a mimetic virus last week. Spun T&M while we were gaming, and my friend said he's been obsessed and listening to them all week!
And, as Kermit sang, it's not easy being green. :)

Great to wake up to your show. Perfect Sat morning vibe.
Enjoying the morning mango/spinach/banana/peanut butter smoothie and a dark black coffee with chicory.
Going to the No Casino rally in Jcksn Hts soon. Wall St Economy Terrorist, Steve Cohen, who also owns the Mets, is ramrodding through a casino next to the stadium that nobody wants. Absolutely staggering that a guy who settled a criminal case for a one billion dollar fine is then allowed to buy a pro sports team (sort of like Rick Scott committing the largest Medicaid fraud in history, then eventually becoming Gov of Fla). Sorry, folks there is no democracy here, perhaps never has been. Kleptocracy, or Scamocracy.
The pure arrogance of the parasitic rich to just do whatever they please bypassing the communities that will have to live with the consequences may have always been purely American but when will it get to the point that, as Steve Earle put it, the revolution starts now.
So beyond sick of the impunity of the rich. The need to become targets, metaphorically of course.
Starting with Reagan, the wealth has been vacuumed up to the wealthiest while the workers actually make LESS than back then. Time for re-unionization. Best of luck today- hope there's a huge turnout.

Yep, and it’s the time of year when we are in sync. I only spend part of the year here and it’s nice not having to change the clocks. And I spend a few weeks here and there in Redondo Beach. It’s great to drive across the country from Jersey and always be tuned into FMU.

Climax Golden Twins (CGT!) did one soundtrack (Session 9) and many releases of just duo, Jeff and Rob and also collaborations. www.discogs.com... - also both are 78rpm record collectors doing CDR compilations from their collection called Victrola Favorites. Available through Wall of Sound record store in Seattle, which Jeffery owns and operates. Also see Robert Millis recent compilation on Sublime Frequencies of Indian 78’s (part 2) sublime-frequencies.bandcamp.com... Also see Idol Ko Si ((Rob) Hound Dog Taylor’s Hand (Jeff) excellent recent release on Bandcamp
amazing, thank you so much for this info! excited to listen to more. I also didn't even realize Millis had produced the Indian Talking Machine compilations - I adore those. most recent is one of my favorite releases of 2026

Loving the show. Will take along with me on the bicycle ride, with a speaker perched in the water bottle holder.
Thanks for the positive responses, comrades. I hope someday we’ll overcome this plutocratic heist, before it’s too late and the climate does us in. Will take all of us developing class consciousness.
Saw a Harry Belafonte doc last night. Clear reminder that we have an obligation to carry the torch, that he brought forward from people like Paul Robeson, to lend a hand using one’s public platform in changing the world. As James Baldwin also said, the artist’s role is to disturb the peace.
Music is our fuel for change. I don’t believe the two are separate.Even while listening to music never stop talking or taking a stand against economic injustice and oppression (the foundation of racism).
Thanks again for the solidarity in the responses, folks. And thanks for the wonderful show, Cricket.
You’re welcome, love your show.. Thanks. Yes, agreed on the Indian Talking Machine comps - Also there is a Victrola Favorites book/CD on Dust to Digital - maybe OOP
regarding "metaphorically of course"... the good people, however against their nature it may seem, must keep on mind that fear is the ONLY thing that ever makes the selfish give up their golden egg.
Dusty! But they were successfully floated. Since I'm still in an ortho-boot, I declined to climb down the seawall and paddle them to the dock and haul them up there. Home in time to get brunch started!
