Hi Olleh!   11:16am
Jay Current:

↳ Song: "Us And Them ( Demo)" by "Richard Wright"

This song floated around the band's repertoire and evolved for a long time before it finally ended up on Dark Side of the Moon. It was initially made for the Zabriskie Point soundtrack in late 1969 and was titled "The Violent Sequence." It was reworked as a section of a half-hour live suite in the early '70s, before being re-isolated and refined into the "Us and Them" prototype you hear here. Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:17am
MHLee: Hello Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:17am

The reminds of the legend zelda... which i had not played but passively heard the soundtrack to   11:23am
Jay Current:

↳ Jan Turkenburg @11:17

You can find lots of interesting stuff listening to Pink Floyd bootlegs. They were constantly retooling and recycling things. Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:23am
MHLee: I might have to make a megamix of all the shows in this ambient world this week. Flanland was close as well   11:24am

when i first quickly read your posts, i thought you saud you were in the middle of a cake walk Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:28am
Jan Turkenburg: There is one of a concert aired live on Dutch radio from The Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, with a presenter in the audience describing the quadraphonic effects and providing context the band had given in an interview earlier. Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:29am

Jay Current:

↳ MHLee @11:20

And I think another one of the refused Zabriskie Point songs ended up being part of The Narrow Way on Ummagumma. Not to mention the band playing a set of Wish You Were Here and Animals prototypes on the Dark Side tour. Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:38am
MHLee:

Raving and drooling was kicking around forever   11:43am
Jay Current:

↳ MHLee @11:38

It did finally see a release at least. Queen's "Hangman" was being played live from before the band's first LP all the way through the News of the World tour and never ended up on anything despite constant consideration. I don't even think there's been an official live release yet despite the band's constant boxsets and re-releases. Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:44am
David The Splatter: Jan, this article just came across my feed about a "serious infestation" of raccoons in Limburg (sp?)

↳ Jan Turkenburg @11:45

I didn't know raccoons weren't native to Europe. They seemed like the kind of animal that could be found almost anywhere. Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:47am
Jan Turkenburg: There are liturally milions of them in Germany which borders Limburg. Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:48am
Jan Turkenburg:

↳ David The Splatter @11:47

No, I've never encountered one in my entire life. Maybe that's why I can relate to the raccoon lady's excitement :-) Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:53am
Jan Turkenburg: Also Canadian geese aren't native to Europe, but you can see them everywhere you go now... The must be 4 dozen of them in my neighborhood alone Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:53am
MHLee: They have invaded japan and are beloved there Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:59am
MHLee:

It being a mp3 rescue makes it even more humorous to me. But it makes sense, putting it there is easier than making 100 cassette tapes or, lord forbid, 100 vinyls to try to distribute. Avatar 1:46pm

WTH, was this orchestrated by Tchaikovsky? Avatar 1:51pm
Mr Fab: I had planned on playing Pink Floyd‘s “the Nile song“ as part of my acid rock set today. Just as well I didn’t. Plenty of Floyd today as it is. Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:52pm
