have not seen the duchamp exhibit yet, but am skeptical of its conceptual/ marketing framework, or what i anticipate it is... which is a contemporization of the readymade, an idea over a hundred years old that in our age of images no longer resonates like it did in the 20th century's age of things...
I also haven't seen it yet - I've heard mix opinions from different friends. Checked out the New Museum today though - really heafty exhibits on transhumansim as thought/realized through art from the past 100 years. It was great!
oh i passed by the new museum on the way and back from giorno poetry systems this evening i'll give it a try. ... maybe, but am also skeptical of the term "transhumanism" as much as i am of the term "humanism" ... like i wonder if the idea appeals to elon musk...
I guess there is something to be said/thought about ready-made in the AI/algorithm age, when we're sold a reality that is promised to be tailored to the individual's taste, or a rather a machine's idea of it. I don't know, maybe I'm just rambling, I can't go see the exhibit anyways.

i got laid off from my first non-retail gig in march 2025! but AI has destroyed that industry so electrician it is. should be nice to do something in the physical world.
