Mr Fab: We would love some thunderstorms here. We get one every few years, if we’re lucky. Always very exciting for the citizens of LA.
For that matter, RAIN is considered very exciting here. Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:39am

Threemoons 🌒🌕🌘: Also for those in the heat zone with gardens: Pro tip from my late Mom, a botanist: Water your garden in the EVENING. That way the plants have a cool night to soak it up, as opposed to water sitting on the leaves and heating up and potentially steaming delicate new growth/buds. Especially good to know for tomato plants and strawberries if that's what you have going on, as well as roses and narcissus/marigolds/other "grow em in a big pot on your porch" flowers. Threemoons 🌒🌕🌘:

↳ Jan Turkenburg @11:44

Well, it's something. We had a rip of hot days a few weeks ago but we're used to having a "fool's summer" -- NYC has 8 seasons, not 4; the transitional seasons are always a bit wonky. At this point we would all like it to get around to heating up. Memorial Day can go either way; cold and miserable (it rained nonstop for 3 days and pretty much washed out a 3 day weekend; street fairs weren't cancelled but were under attended etc). Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:49am
Threemoons 🌒🌕🌘: In prior years though, we've seen 95F Memorial Day weekends and hotter. It's also both snowed and been in the 90s on Easter. Having one of the world's only fjordic rivers (the Hudson) gives us this sort of weird microclimate; it acts like a bowling alley for both cold air from Canada and hot, wet storms from the South.
