Song:
"Cold Shoulder" by "Pucho & The Latin Soul Brothers"
played something from this last week, but one of the tracks without a William Fischer arrangement - well, here's Maestro Bill Fischer on the cut for ya tonight
♥
7:20pm
StringOFperils:
Making 'jazz hands' while pharmaceuticaly altered is Bronwyn's thing, and I cannot speak to Bronwyn's thing. As you can plainly see, it's bad enough that I'm speaking at all.
Rebirth of Cool comps in the early 90s had a lot of that type of stuff, very nice
7:22pm
Flash Strap:
there's sorta no "good" music genre term, but we pretty much have to use them anyway, if only to establish a base of communications
🥁♥
7:23pm
chresti:
More electronics involved maybe?
Will have to ask Bronwyn
7:59pm
Flash Strap:
tulips are done, had a pretty good season, managed to sell most and waste very little, plus they were very pretty. planting now for the summer season, zinnias, glads, dahlias, etc.
8:01pm
Flash Strap:
tulips have a surprisingly short season, we usually don't even make it to Easter
8:03pm
akiva:
Hello musicohorticulturists…loving the show. Happy spring to all.
8:04pm
Flash Strap:
on a session like this it feels like Mal is probing the catalog card of my mind. his fingers doing the walking on the surface of my brain
8:27pm
Flash Strap:
early Missus Beastly sounds a lot like a Sandro Brugnolini Italian library monster jam
8:28pm
Flash Strap:
if you told me this was The Psycheground Group i wouldn't even question it
8:34pm
Flash Strap:
always happy to hear a version of The Mooche
♥
8:34pm
StringOFperils:
:) One of my favourite albums of all time....this sounds remixed to me///but perhaps I'm just used to listening to degraded files or somethin
♥
9:01pm
StringOFperils:
That has to be a 1977 nod to The Ramones' 'Carbona, Not Glue', but there's no trace of it in the Aqsak idea....just an indicator that they were listening
↳
Song:
"Parte Seconda (Prima)" by "Costin Miereanu"
this album is such a head trip
(also for those playing at home, miereanu is on the nww list, alongside dauner, aksak maboul, lard free, and association pc)
9:05pm
Flash Strap:
Miereanu described this piece: “the kind of 'woven' silence you find on mountains – occasionally disturbed by irregular and very dense insertions – the kind of intense noise you find in the city.”
have you spent much time with Cacciapaglia's
Sei Note In Logica? would be very up your alley i think (and is possibly my favorite of the Italian minimalist albums)
It isn't so bad, once you're around Indian languages a bit. Turiya, Sangit, and Ananda are separate words or ideas...combined, it means something like the joy of concsiousness in making harmony
