Recorded in Sweden and Israel-decent amount of jazz happens in Sweden, not as much in Israel (and the Israelis that do play jazz seem to wind up in New York).

You’re welcome, Peter. Whenever I am in an abandoned parking garage, I think of you.
DJP, did you hear Billy Childs interviewed on Weekend Edition? He gave a pretty cogent description of this album, and they played more music from it than in usual jazz featurers.
Kim plays in Anna Webber's new tentet (? some large number), which will be recording soon, I believe. I heard the group live, and Kim's gayageum was a standout.
I guess so. In various parts, it played bass lines, was strummed like a rhythm guitar, or was plucked for a solo. That's the only time I've heard a gayageum live.

Hi there! Sorry to cut and run earlier.
True, but vocalists often feel tied to the original melodies. Also, I *do* feel that way about hearing another version of a long-played Monk tune, or album of all Monk. These records have to rise above the sea of previous albums in some way, and they often don't. IMHO!!
