Miles dropped 4 albums to get out of that contract, Cookin', Relaxin', Workin', and Steamin'. For a"dump", Prestige didn't do half bad (and their release after Miles Brooke big on Columbia definitely helped sales).

That's interesting the station there is KRTU. Rice college radio in Houston is KTRU. I used to listen to it a lot when I lived there along with KPFT, which is the community station. KPFT was the bomb

No! It’s the Columbia University radio station in NYC and I highly recommend it. Tons of rare live stuffdoctorjazz: WKCR has been known for multi day festivals as long as I've been listening to radio. Phil Schapp's legacy.
