wow, very unusual glitch. Sounded like analog vinyl scratching.↳ WR @12:05
it's an issue that exists on some of these recordings from the same comp and i'm not sure if the issue originated in the comp or the digitization of the cds.On three dates in January 1946,[8] Johnson recorded an early concept album, Pete Johnson's Housewarmin’, in which he starts out playing alone, supposedly in a new empty house, and is joined there by J. C. Higginbotham, J. C. Heard, and other Kansas City players. The recording also included parts played by Albert Nicholas, Hot Lips Page, Clyde Bernhardt. Budd Johnson, and a young singer, Etta Jones. Each has a solo cut backed by Johnson, and then the whole group plays a jam session together. On this album Johnson shows his considerable command of stride piano and his ability to work with a group. It was later re-released as Pete's Blues." but a lot to dig here

↳ Song: "Be My Love Tonight" by "Roy Brown"
This is actually a really nice attempt to adapt to the future↳ Song: "Right From Wrong" by "Fats Domino"
I've read criticism of this one because it's Fats's early on, trying without Dave Bartholomew. I can see it. Dave and Fats were unstoppable.↳ Song: "Be My Love Tonight" by "Roy Brown"
The song writing is credited to the Rockabilly Burnette brothers. Wonder about the musicians on the record.↳ Song: "That's The Blues" by "Clyde Hart's All-Stars"
This is is on the verge of being a Ray Charles single from a decade later... also Dizzy on sax↳ Matt Clarke @12:47
Hi Matt!↳ Song: "Family Rules" by "Guitar Jr. and Combo"
I've played a lot of Goldband stuff on my own show (including this Guitar Jr. song, I think.) Their catalog is surprisingly deep for a label from a small town.↳ Jason Isaac @12:50
Heh, I've seen some of these songs come up on both shows... I was suprised it didn't appear you've played Crescent City Bounce↳ Song: "Tough Gain" by "Bill Jennings"
Bill Jenning is a weird one, it seems like no one is really sure whether to put him in blues or jazz↳ Song: "Sweet Breeze" by "Vernon Green And The Phantoms"
Making the most of the choir↳ MHLee @12:51
