Hazy Saturday greetings TOPT et al from above the 49th!
So funny that you started off on a Rod Stewart tune...as I vividly recall purchasing a Rod Stewart album for my Mom as her Mother's Day gift in May '74. She still loves Rod's vocals...
For a while, I thought Rex was saying, "boss goober."

I passed my local station yesterday...
your US $4.60 a gallon is equivalent to CAD$1.61 a litre (which is our measurement above the 49th)...

BTW...I'm actually scrapping my super low mileage 2008 PT cruiser this week...it's a money sink & Chrysler parts are getting harder to afford all the time.

Kardinal Offishall features prominently. Performing almost every day the fan zone is open. 100, 150 & 300 $ packages for the premium experience. Sheesh.
I'm going w/ a family member who needs to sit..I didn't pay super nosebleed for the comfort. Plus it's definitely a one-off experience. There's an Austin band also on the bill who apparently are pretty popular on streaming...not heard of them until yesterday:
Shakey Graves.
They play The Continental Club a lot...so I figure that's good enough endorsement right there.

It also died a fast death & played for under a week on the big screen (a rarity) due to poor attendance:
Mr Mike's Mindo Video. (1979)

Half cans sound like a really good idea! Easy to stash in a cargo pocket!rx "rexy" scabin: They was a tee shirt: I drank 2 EKU. If one is foolish enough to get drunk on it, the hangover is life-ending. Fortunately, I am not that foolish.

Heh Andrew...is TO putting on lots of concerts in conjunction w/ the world cup "fan support" non-game festivities?Vancouver just completed a new "skookum" amphitheatre & I'm definitely going to The Sadies show late June...which is free entry...but I did "upgrade" to a seat...
I'm thinking the bands might also be fairly compensated too...which will be nice.
The bands play between the games...which are on massive big screens all around the fair grounds ...so really family friendly.
clarke: half-cans is a studio term meaning to keep one headphone off the ear, to monitor one's own voice.
OnTheTrain: Jones beach has Skynard and Forigner aug 21 and the guess who jul 10
clarke: what year is it???
OnTheTrain: exactly
Van Winkle ;-):

GTK!!!Whenever I'm out & about with my earbuds in...I only ever keep one bud in...so I can hear the action around me...

I'm going w/ a family member who needs to sit..I didn't pay super nosebleed for the comfort. Plus it's definitely a one-off experience. There's an Austin band also on the bill who apparently are pretty popular on streaming...not heard of them until yesterday:Shakey Graves.
They play The Continental Club a lot...so I figure that's good enough endorsement right there.
money&pain: Yes, Todd! I saw John Doe at McCabe's Guitar shop in west LA just after X broke up, and loved this song so much. That's when I began to take country music seriously.

Toronto Pan Am games in 2015 was the windfall. Free concerts by top shelf bands nightly throughout. Festivals across the country benefited from the hurdle of work visas being cleared.
