Speaking of roadtrips, my daughter and her college buddies are rolling from Denver to Paso Robles CA AND its Fandango Day, May 15th 1971. Fandango is the greatest roadtrip movie with Kevin Costner, Sam Robards, and Judd Nelson.
In 2020, the year everything went wrong, I accidentally killed a MacBook Pro by letting a tiny bit of red wine splatter on it. I was able to get an Apple tech to extract it and attach a USB port to it. They probably won’t do that anymore.
Yeah. I’m curious to see it if we’re out there. But that kind of spectacle also scares me a little. I would like to explore the Emporia area a bit more. I’ve only been once for a shorter ride. We spent more time at Wilson Lake. There’s a spaghetti like set of MTB trails that are pretty nice and decent camping by the lake if you like that sort of thing. You can do the trails on a gravel bike. Nothing too crazy. Just have to push it up some of the steep parts.
It's pretty easy these days. You'll want to make sure there are drivers for your specific hardware, especially with a laptop: wifi and Ethernet, trackpad, video, sound. Make a backup first, or, better, use a fresh drive. The trouble usually comes when you have to deal with something Mac or Windows-specific, like a .pptx or .psd file.
