Hi LCBD!↳ Clay Pigeon @7:30
Back in the 80s, Stephen King would've been whacked out on cocaine and cough syrup and definitely would've tried to operate a blender.I have used his "on writing" book as part of my Creative Writing class many times in the past, it's been a while though so I'm dusting it off for next year.

I read all the macabre weird spooky stuff I could find from the time I was a small child. Exhausted the local library. So when Stephen King showed up, I was already on the off-ramp from that kind of writing. Mainly why I haven't read more than the first 5 chapters of The Shining. That guy is like the FoMoCo of writing.↳ yerfriendpaul @7:40
Gosh!!! Thems the big league! Plus, Bostonian in New York right now is a little dangerous😂😂😂↳ 2/3 of the Perrin Family @7:39

A Trivia group in a small Madrid Pub asked me to join their group as I was amerikan and [unbeknownst to me] the trivia person did a lot of amerikan TV stuff ... They fired me .. 7:42amok, now i get it.

Love his short stories - “Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption”, “The Body” - morphed into Stand by Me. People are usually shocked to find out he wrote them. Also his work as Richard Bachman is good. The man was prolific and has a twisted sense of humor.↳ OnTheTrain / Mark @8:03

I broke "On Writing@ up into smaller excerpts that I use for specific ideas, strategies, advice, and warnings.Others for specific writing exercises embedded in the text.
Then I make the book available for any of the students that wanna go deeper.

Yes! I miss the old Howard Stern Show… I know that sounds so cliché↳ Andre Hayes @8:16
I think it was printed in the notes on the single, and footnotes of Genius + Love album. I think the DJ vocals might have been on the one side of the single, and the Fakebook version on the b-side. I went down a 90's rabbit hole with Fakebook. Digging out all the original artists in the bins to hear them. If Ira, Georia & James thought they were good enough to cover, maybe I needed to hear those groups too. Ditto on WFMU.↳ Listener Bop Monroe @8:27

Our local, Lake Placid and Brewery, recently opened River Trail Brewing here in Saranac Lake. Part of the reason: they were dissatisfied with the quality of contract brewing in Utica. I worked for a co. back in the late 80's early 90's that had techs worldwide. We had training courses in MA.One evening one of these seminars, the co. took everyone out for dinner.
I didn't go, but the next day on the shuttle from the hotel to the offices, the Canadian & Australian groups got on the bus, pretty bruised up.
Seems they had a few too many beers & wound up in a brawl.
