There's a WFMU connection with underground illustrators going back a ways. Kaz did a radio show with Chris T. called the Nightmare Lounge, Jim Ryan also showed up on there. Ken Weiner of Punk magazine was a big fan, but the biggest connection was through former music director David Newgarden whose brother Mark was an illustrator. Drew Friedman contributed his illustrations to LCD. These artist and others submitted pieces for Screw magazine. I worked there as did DJ Rob Weisberg of Transpacific Sound Paradise. It's all connected!
