Mr Moistache: I am always amazed at how fast radio time goes by. thanks for sticking around.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:55am
WR: There is a lot to keep up with, between getting the tunes and doing the playlist. Though, with the streams and the kenzo playlist, it is possible to set it all up in advance, that takes probably at least twice the amount of the time of actual program. And that is not counting making selection, preparing the content. Then close attention while doing the program and blip. It's over.

One reason you sometimes including a recipe in a radio show makes sense to me. Cooking similarly involves the planning, the prep, the cooking and then when it is served, blip it is gone.

Mr Moistache: I finally found the recipe i want to share with you all. It is Eggplant, tomato, and chickpea salad from the book, Pacific Palate, cuisines of the sun.
Avatar 12:02pm
Mr Moistache: and we will be leaving the G rated part of the program soon. Please turn off the radio is there are gentle ears around

↳ WR @11:55

you are right. and keeping everything going is hard, remembering it all is the hardest for me
Avatar 12:11pm
Mr Moistache: 2 lbs Eggplant (Japanese if available)

1 lb tomatoes peeled seeded and cut into 1/4" pieces

3 cloves garlic

1tsp ground cumin

1tsp smoked paprika

1/4 tsp cayenne

1 can chickpeas

1 green bell pepper

1 red bell pepper

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

Mr Moistache: Eggplant tomato and chickpea salad
Avatar 12:14pm
Mr Moistache: From the recipe book, Pacific Palate, Cuisines of the Sun by Alaina De Havilland
Avatar 12:15pm
Mr Moistache: the eggplant should be cut into 1/4" thick rounds. If using regular eggplant cut into 1/2" cubes
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:18pm
WR: Looks like something that I would cook. Variety of flavours but not finicky process.
Avatar 12:22pm
Mr Moistache: Peel and cut the eggplant. Heat a heavy large saute pan with oil (enough to coat the whole pan) Working in batches over meduim high heat saute the eggplant until golden on both sides (or if cubed all around). Remove eggplant from the pan and place on a paper towel.

Using the same pan saute the tomato, garlic, cumin, paprika, cayenne, chickpeas, and bell pepers for about 4 minutes on medium/low heat.

Transfer to a bowl and add lemon juice./ don't forget to salt and pepper to taste
