Even when taken as directed. Even in the happy, colorful ads on TV the side defects list is scary. Homicidal and suicidal thoughts is one that seems to appear in all these ads.
Had a huge fight with my old Primary Care Doctor about them! Made the mistake of admitting I dealt with depression from time to time - he put me on Paxil. I hated it! Made me into a goddamn zombie! He said they needed adjusting. I said "you Doctors are overprescribing them like you did Valium in the '70's, and not really knowing what they're doing to the brain". He finally agreed with me, never took any ever again!
