"Song of the Countrymen" by "Rahsaan Roland Kirk"
Never seen this "Complete" box (have a bunch of the Mercs, but this is tempting). Seems to not have been a US reissue, from my quick search (none of the sets on Discogs are shipped from the US, makes me think it's European or Japanese). Great track (Love Rahsaan)!

Hey Andrew, not until October 9th and 10th at Smalls 2 sets starting at 9 and 10:30, respectively. Did a new recording last Wednesday...will take a while to edit and mix...got another recording project with horns, but logistics need to be worked out down the road which will take a bit.

Hello Irene, fellow listeners. I just had some major dental work this morning. A difficult tooth extraction. Yes, on Memorial Day. Right now, I'm feeling pretty beaten up and left for dead. Maybe that's appropriate for this holiday. No, I'm not a veteran.

Thanks. The anesthetic is just wearing off now. The pain isn't terrible; worse is the lingering bleeding and taste of blood in my mouth. I've had teeth extracted before, so I know the drill. (No pun intended.)

What bums me about Memorial Day is the unnecessary loss of life based on lies, an invisible man in the sky, ancient dirt on the ground, chiming into indigenous people's business for political and/or financial gain for those who already have too much...it's The Sharks and The Jets on steroids! Except for WW I&II, Civil, and the Revolutionary wars, 'merica has a way of making a racket via unsuspecting youngsters whose pre-frontal cortex hasn't kicked in fast enough to tell them how utterly eff'd up their plight will be all for nothing! Making a racket with a fuzz tone pedal would be a lot cheaper and much less deadly. Such a shame!
