I have probably talked about this CD before, and I know I've played a song from it not long ago. This was a Due from PDX, and one of them had a short-lived radio show on KPSU, in 2007. ("Cacophony" was the name of the show.) The DJ handed me this cdr, of their "demos" for this band, that at the time had only played a few shows. I love this cd, but I have no idea what happened to the band, I have little to no other info about them, and "Smoke and Mirrors" is just un-googleable enough to make it a little obscure.
If you were in Smoke 'N' Mirrors, let me know! I love this CD.
While I BELIEVE this was originally released on tape, I was given a 3" cdr version of this tape by Crank and Sanchez, when I ran sound for them back in the day.

↳ Song: "Viajando en Rosa" by "Santiago Latorre"
Another album given to me by the artist, who was on tour from Europe, and guested on my show in 2009.Austin Rich:
↳ Song: "Viajando en Rosa" by "Santiago Latorre"
I have a 40 minute set by Santiago that I've played clips of before, but I don't think I've played the whole thing since he was on the show back then. I should dig that one out and re-master it. He's a really fun performer.Austin Rich:
↳ Bandit @11:27
Oh, you said "HOW can I join."I guess just buy their albums. That's how I did.
Bandit:
↳ Austin Rich @11:33
That too!! You did suggest me a few of their albums I think back during 2025 hellraiser. Which album should I start with, should I just go in order?Austin Rich:
↳ Bandit @11:34
That's one way. I really like "Lovelyville," which is the first one I got. But I like all of them.en.wikipedia.org...

Austin Rich:
↳ Olleh @11:37
Yeah, I really like this Hochenkeit album. I saw them a million years ago, and they had movies projected over them. They were a lot of fun.Olleh:
↳ Austin Rich @11:38
Was it at your college?Austin Rich:
↳ Olleh @11:39
No, I saw them in PDX one night, some random club that I went to with my friend Cheryl, and The Ramen City Kid. I think they were playing with the Replikants. (The Unwound side-project.) But I could be wrong. There was at least one other band on the bill, too, and I recall the show ran VERY late.pxe: hello Olleh
das ubuibi: what do you call a cluster of dj's ????
das ubuibi: there were a couple attempts at a Thinking Fellers/Smegma/bCo tour...

Yoiks! Howdy!pxe: this song is like, how I wanted to sound yesterday when we were at Bananas At Large and messing around with all of their electric pianos (but no way did it sound this good)... fun tho
Bandit:
↳ Arvo Zylo @11:55
It's been happening a bit with other accounts, might want to email Ken tell him it's been going ondas ubuibi: weird track for SST records...??
Austin Rich:
↳ Arvo Zylo @11:55
Hmmmm. That shouldn't be happening. Vulgarity shouldn't trigger that.If it persists, I would report it. The Webmaster actually tracks stuff like that.
Arvo Zylo: I was gonna say that this transition from Eno to Roger Miller was smooth.
I worked at a video store in 2003 and one of the regular customers made me a CDR of Eno's ambient stuff. I didn't like it then, but it's more my speed now.
Mr. X: Lots of wild & crazy sounds tonight, Austin, thanks! Sometimes a Jukebox DJ set is just what we need.
Heather Z:
↳ pxe @11:55
I'll stay tuned in as long as I can tonight! Tuesdays have always been a radio treat here at Sheena's and this bonus treat of Radio TroUBle is so awesome!!Olleh:
