Good Morning Glisteners on this Memorial Day, the unofficial start of Summer, right? Good to be with yoiu and THANKS for being here! Hi Jeremy! Pipes I feel ya!
Two are always better than one! I swore I was done after my many other cats passed, but the local TNR had a bonded trio that could not be separated - a brother/sister pair and a ringer they picked up along the way- so this crazy cat lady caved.

awww yippers!! I'm watching two big babies, a grey pittie princess who is just a cuddly lazy land seal with the funniest facial expressions, and her younger sister a wiggly little brown pit mix with big pointy fox-like ears and an obsession with belly rubs 💞💞
Funny that you should say that on social media just yesterday I saw two young women saying that a red flag with seeing a man on a social media dating app that said they were a cat person!!😂😂😂
We did pretty good...got rid of a lot of stuff that had been collecting dust. Every time someone asked what we were listening to, I gave them the whole WFMU spiel!! Hopefully recruited some new listeners!!

What a treat! Clay on a holiday. It's also a holiday here: Tweede Pinksterdag. I'm about to hit the Dutch countryside on my bike and it's a special treat to listen to this show on a holiday bike ride.
Hi Scott, Marylou62 and other cat lovers, there was a story in yesterday's NYTimes (Modern Love) that featured a bit about women being turned off by a man with a cat. So dumb!
I still don't understand what Tweede Pinksterdag is all about. Jesus showed up again after Easter or something. Whatever. We have a lot of holidays here, and most of them seem to be in the spring.

I hear you, Strandlund. I find it very endearing and if I were on a dating app today, I'd probably look for a cat man, lol! Glad to hear your tag sale went well.
I'm Ziggy's third home, and he's 11. If he didn't need to be an only kitty, I'd get him a couple of siblings. As it is, we're a good couple: both old and set in our ways.
I also read something and people have been saying that cats don’t think of us as cats they think of us as another weird looking large cat I mean, how do they know that?

Celebrated my 40th wedding anniversary yesterday. We managed to get this far together producing three fine human beings. A little more than four months ago, my eldest managed to bring into the world a beautiful healthy baby boy. I cannot put into words how much we all cherish this little guy. The best part- he smiles at me every time he sees me. Melts my heart. I hope you all have something as joyous in your own lives.
Joey C, Happy Anniversary to you and yours! So happy for you! I know exactly what you are talking about. Our 11-month old grandson is the sunshine of my life!
that's right, spay, neuter, and bring em inside! (rural barn cats may be an exception) letting cats outside drastically reduces life expectancy :( cars, predators, and all kind of nastiness
last weekend we brought a cat in off the street, found and returned him to his owner, and tried to convince them to keep the tiny senior fellow inside. even offered to help leash train him. he was tragically killed by a car not even a week later after the owners did not need our advice. 💔
okay that's my soapbox, I just feel it's important to say. RIP Midnight 🐈⬛💔

Narrowsburg,NY is a funky little town with an art gallery, The Delaware Valley Arts Alliance (DVAA) celebrating it's 50th year of operation.
From June 13 thru July 26 they will host a show called "One For All" which will have floor to ceiling art pieces from current, former and deceased artists who have displayed there over the years.
Who knows, you may run into WFMU's Monica Levy there. I did in 2016 while wearing my first edition Wake & Bake T shirt.

I went to a cat cafe in Springfield, VT last week. There was a pair curled up together, one all black/one solid white that I would have adopted on site but the cafe is not an adoption center. These cats live there. I'm going back there with my daughter asap. 2 coon cat kittens had just come in - so sweet!

Except for Tommy, who was too young. I only saw them once, one of the first shows they did, in the basement of the Whole Coffeehouse at UMN with about a dozen people in attendance.
Now I'm getting a better idea of where you live/run...we were in Dorchester for a while in the 90s, right down at the water. I ran along the water in Dorchester and Southie.

What a great one hit wonder! I know this song by heart! Interesting fact ... I think they did come back for one night only for some New Years Eve performance. Wasn't too long alone.
We had a lot of luck on Venus
We always had a ball on Mars
We meet with all the groovy people
We rocked the Milky Way so far
We're Space Truckin' round the stars
It was joyful. They were in top form, very nostalgic about being in NY. Brought lots of folks on stage to dance during "Boy with the Arab Strap," including a girl from Argentina who got a lot of time at the mic pleading with them to visit there. Super fun. No rain, which was lucky. The next night got a lot of it, but they still played!

I remember reading that that NewRadicals song played on repeat for Beau Biden when he was dying of glioblastoma. We lost a dear friend to that same illness this weekend. Felt like a perfect tribute. Thanks, Clay. Sending Steve pixie dust on the other side.
Not too far from Dorchester - it's where I lived when I first moved to Boston
I have a couple miles before I hit the water, then it's nothing but beauty
Great place to run
A good time was had by all. I was wishing I'd had tickets to both nights, but I think being indoors for the epic Feelies show was a good deal. We were sitting next to a guy who flew from Wisconsin for the Feelies shows and heard him comment on all the FMU shirts at the show. Super funny. 😂

Hey, Marylou! This is the first time that I'm living very close to the parade route. When I was a kid, we lived near the town's parade route. Some of my classmates made fun of me living in the poor side of town, but I couldn't give a tinker's cuss.
That's really great, Scott

Clay has taken his soundboard shredding up a notch lately. Amazing
My sister and her family have lived in Blfd for over 40 years - right by the center. My brother (and his partner) and my other sister have shared a two family right by Watsessing Park for just short of 40 years. So Bloomfield is like a second home town to me. Hell, we used to cruise Bloomfield High at dismissal time in the late 70s because the guys were so good looking.🤪

Clay!!! You devil!!! They have a word in psychology for this I canna remember right now. Moral something or other. It’s when you do something good and then you basically over reward yourself. Like save a baby and then commit adultery for the rest of your life. And thanks for playing THE WHO!!!!!
Hyperdose, I don’t know Takanaka, but I’ve been obsessed with the Rainbow Goblins picture book since my mother got it for me and I opened the fantastic cover to reveal a wondrous, marbleized 2 page spread. Amazing book!
I try to listen to the show on my way into work every morning and then add the songs Clay plays that I like (about 70% of it or more) to my Apple Music later on. But days I'm off, like today is really the only time I jump on the Accu and be with you fine folks!

that's right, spay, neuter, and bring em inside! (rural barn cats may be an exception) letting cats outside drastically reduces life expectancy :( cars, predators, and all kind of nastinesslast weekend we brought a cat in off the street, found and returned him to his owner, and tried to convince them to keep the tiny senior fellow inside. even offered to help leash train him. he was tragically killed by a car not even a week later after the owners did not need our advice. 💔

So, I too ask the question posed here in song by David Maloney wherein he asks the question....WHY WAR??

woah this bass motif totally reminiscent of Harry Nilsson's Jump Into The Fire from earlier🔥StringOFperils: It 's a loose groove...they mess with it a lot, but it's totally 'in the pocket'. Wun'n'two'n;three;n;four'n'wun'n'two'n;three;n;four'n'wun'n'two'n;three;n;four'n'....

Yes! Surprised we weren't open today. Training a new hire this week since the old boss is leaving soon. New boss is in Texas. It's been an interesting turning of hands but I'm basically running the joint now. Luckily still able to volunteer at the shelter, work for the city, and squeeze in some range time. Lots going on over here!TerrDE: One of my YouTube channels analizes Beatles songs. They use the 4/4 , one measure of 2/4 also.
Mrs Pipes: Thanks Clay, Jeremy and the whole W&B team for a great show. Much respect and love to you all. Peace!
