I’ve just been over to my record shelves- I have a Marc On Wax LP that includes “USA Radio Session 1972 - Acoustic Set”: 8 tracks including Ballrooms Of Mars, I’ll have to check to see if it was from that.
When I took my son to see the stage production of War of the Worlds, David Essex was singing the part of the Solider. I had to explain to him why that was such a big deal. He was ace, as you can imagine.
We contributed an Eno cover to one of last year's WFMU Marathon Premiums and several people said they preferred it to the orginal. Not objectively true, but it was nice of them to say so....
