Im thinking of US charts and how the original invasion was 64 early and then came the lull here for UK bands and then 66 kinda started things in a new direction for UK bands with Cream, S davis, others.

1st version i ever heard is Leon Russell's on the bangla desh concert album. still easily a top 3 favorite; with the original, and with Johnny Winter's (fillmore east version)
Ironically I was just telling my coworker how annoying the Silicon Valley crowd was at the Rolling Stones concert at Levi’s Stadium. They would only stand for songs they recognized like this.
