A memory that has faded
Feb 2020
Johnnie's Pastrami was a place that I had my parents take me to. I took my kids there. Now, I wouldn't take anyone there. I don't know if it is my memories are just that good or just remembering something that wasn't really there. The meat was juicier, the bun was stuffed fuller and the taste was better. I guess maybe I have been spoiled by The Hat in Pasadena that is the way I remember a good sandwich. Johnnie's is living on it's past glory and many of the old timers are no longer going there. While it better than many of the Deli's in the area but not as good as it once was. SO I guess I will just take off to The Hat and thank Johnnie's for the memories
