This is a minority opinion; however, Fables is my favorite album of theirs. It has many songs about travel and movement mixed with biography songs--Wendell Gee and Old Man Kinsey--to make the point of life as metaphorical traveling through adversity and struggles. I especially love Green Grow the Rushes.
I got to be at the same table as Michael Stipe for a work dinner. He was super nice - I even admitted that I taught myself "losing my religion" on the ukulele. He was super sweet about it. Wished I would have asked for a photo but didnt want to invade his space.

"Charlie’s music not only served as a lynchpin of the South Florida scene, but its influence was felt far beyond. REM’s Peter Buck was so impressed by Charlie and John Salton that he produced Charlie’s The Wilderness album (1988). Noonday Demon is also an amazing book about depression, "An Atlas of Depression" i think, Andrew Solomon, but almost written by all of the interviewees
Any time you get the chance, drop me a line on what you thought of Question 7 - it only occurred to me that you would have knowledge of the actual science involved, even though it's not a science book.
So good. My son, Trent in Pittsburgh, recently got a real turntable & reminded me about Station to Station & wow, it sounds good to listen all the way through like Bowie probably wanted us to do. It’s a work of art.

"Let's Live for Today" is a song written by David "Shel" Shapiro and Italian lyricist Mogol, with English lyrics provided by Michael Julien.[1][2] It was first recorded, with Italian lyrics, under the title "Piangi con me" (translating as "Cry with Me") by the Italian-based English band the Rokes in 1966.[1][2] Later, when "Piangi con me" was due to be released in the United Kingdom, publisher Dick James Music requested that staff writer Julien compose English lyrics for the song.[2]

Because:"Let's Live for Today" is a song written by David "Shel" Shapiro and Italian lyricist Mogol, with English lyrics provided by Michael Julien.[1][2] It was first recorded, with Italian lyrics, under the title "Piangi con me" (translating as "Cry with Me") by the Italian-based English band the Rokes in 1966.[1][2] Later, when "Piangi con me" was due to be released in the United Kingdom, publisher Dick James Music requested that staff writer Julien compose English lyrics for the song.[2]
