Thanks, it's the only song I could think of with "stormy" that qualified for SU64NA.

Jay Current: "Crying in the Rain" by The Everly Brothers would fit today's theme. (And it's just barely old enough to qualify.)

WR: I recently got a book called Stand the Storm, about quartet and harmony spiritual singing evolving as part of the effort to support Black Education post USA civil war. It starts with the Fisk University Jubilee Singers and goes on with succeeding generations and other institutions; Tuskegee, Hampton and others.

I just discovered that Woody Herman had some low charting singles in the mid-'50s. I had never really thought about where we went after the Jazz Age died down, but apparently he was still active in the '80s, sadly due to tax issues.

That may be an interesting idea for a show now that I think about it, exploring how the jazz giants kept things going in the rock n roll era. MHLee did a bit of that in a Jokejoint Gold episode with some '60s songs from early rock artists.

And no, earthquakes don't count. But coastal areas get fog in the mornings sometimes so that's pretty exciting.
