The problem with Electriclarryland is folks who had no clue about Butthole Surfers and who they were. I had someone tell me that they were mainstream.... Not in the Mid 80s when Gibby performed on mass Acid. :)
All due respect to the Surfers. But, by tge 80's dropping acid was passe.

I've seen some reviews cite Cactus as America's answer to Led Zeppelin (or at least a band that could have been if they had ever gotten their breakthrough.) I haven't heard enough Cactus to confirm or deny these reports.
