But I didn't like them live. Saw them with the daughters in Milwaukee - Sounded a bit like a Jam band live. Also, It was the DJ Kreightoven experienced having a joint offered in among show audience members. It shocked her. I was watching it all happen from behind in the crowd - LOL
The one think I know about them: they were very popular among the jam-band crowd, and played a lot of shows like that in Eugene back in the day. Which was why I was surprised they had a song I liked; I assumed they were like Phish, based on the reputation.

Spinal Tap and Bad News were both in production at the same time. They came out pretty close to each other. Bad News has multiple good sequels. I'm not sure the same can be said for Spinal Tap.

"Bad News" is, technically, an episode of the series, "The Comic Strip Presents," a comedy series that features all of the members of "The Young Ones," French & Saunders, and Peter Richardson, another alternative comic from that era. "The Comic Strip Presents" has to be one of the strangest English Comedies from the early 80's. The Bad News episodes are particularly funny, as they sort of work as their own short films.

I've played it on my how before, but in the late 90's, a Macedonian Hip-Hop band looped "Insane In The Membrane" and rapped in Macedonian over it. The best part is that they left in a couple of the samples of the English Lyrics in the loop that they are rapping over. It's pretty great.
If you like that style, you should hear DJ Kreightoven's band ShiSho. She wrote and performed from the ages of four and sixteen - They even did a colaboration with The Dead Milkmen.
