Today I tried. By the time I was out and about for a few hours, I got woozy and hadda go home and take a nap.

We put two A/C window units upstairs. Downstairs has held pretty steady at just about 70F on its own. That $$ I spent on insulation has paid off.

My new apartment is on the 4th floor of a pre-war brownstone with high ceilings. It's very bright with eastern and southern exposure. I need some blackout curtains to keep things cool during the day The portable A/C units I have in the living room and bedroom work okay, but keeping it dark would help more.
