I saw Ambrosia of "You're the Biggest Part of Me" fame play this song live a couple of years ago. They did a cover for the bizarre film "All This and World War II" that somehow made the Top 40.
I'm still confused as to how that movie exists. Apparently it was based on a dream a label executive had one night, and he just... decided to make it? And the director he hired was just a random researcher with no directorial experience who was promoted to the position when Terry Gilliam didn't want to do the film.

Song:
"Donovan's Reef" by "Country Joe and the Fish"
Country Joe and the Fish is an interesting group; they seem to have been a pretty big deal back in the early days of underground FM radio, but they haven't had the same staying power as people like Jimi Hendrix or Jefferson Airplane. I've liked most of what I've heard from them though, and this song is a pleasant jam.
Electric Music for the Mind and Body is one of my favorite albums... but I think their relatively short discography is worth listening to. Joe was an activist and very politically active. He was named after Stalin and the Fish comes from a Mao quote... though I don't think they were Stalinists or anything.

Camper Van Bethooven does a good cover of "Porpoise Mouth" from Electric Music
Almost everything the Kinks did in that late '60s/early '70s era was good to great. Lots of fun little non-album tracks like "Lincoln County" in that era as well.

Song:
"Can't Seem To Make You Mine" by "Ramones"
I agree, really a shame. Too bad Joey's health issues cut the Ramones' career (and Joey's life) short. They've just got bigger and bigger. If they were alive they'd be paying stadiums today.

I got to attend the WHO's "last concert ever" back in Oct. I thought they jumped the shark when they brought out Fred Durst to sing Behind Blue Eyes for the encore (jk) 😄
A combination of the Deftones revival, Linkin Park nostalgia, and some old guard bands displaying a bit of self awareness the past few years has done wonders to rehabilitate the genre's image.
I dunno...i saw that Post Malone guy come out on stage with Dwight Yoakum for some inconsequential guitar strumming and backup vocals a year or so ago.
Probably 20+ years ago I saw Steve Miller and it really bummed me out when a guy came out and started rapping to Fly Like an Eagle - no joke. :( Might have been the KB player.
