Julieeee!! missed you last week! I had to go deep into your archives and actually went to early 2020 to an eps where you had Anna on! 12090 AD has a brand new album out! Went to the release party Friday.It was so good.
i briefly lost my wallet with cash and my ID and debit/credit card in it while i was in Oregon last week. luckily for me a good samaritan found it and gave me back to me. but i could feel a panic attack creeping up.
it was all the more stressful because i do not lose things in general.
it was plenty of fun! i forgot that going only 2 hours backward in time upsets the circadian rhythm so much. it took 3-4 days to get adjusted. everything that i remember being totally different from texas was still totally different lol it was only my second time in Oregon. i make a point to drink from every fountain (and some sink faucets) to test the water purity and it is always DELICIOUS

I feel pretty bad for receiving money on bandcamp but rarely buying anything. Here’s hoping it evens it out that I didn’t ever receive the money as the email address was dead. (No, it didn’t, nobody won)
Not that I needed any more vinyl… very stressful renovation work takes place at my home and due to the constant construction dust I brought my vinyls to a storage unit. Based on the size and number of the cardboard boxes there are approximately 4000 12 inch records. Maybe it’s about time to stop collecting

I know we're all kinda joking about this, but don't think some greedy concert promoter would do this and the record label could make money off holograms of dead musicians.
I'm pretty sure record co's and the estates of dead rock n rollers are already cashing in hologram performances.

it wasn't just a hologram, it was all done through motion capture. the band was involved every step of the way. it is their voices and their movements. record companies have been releasing records long after artists' deaths so that's not new

Looks pretty cool. And I'm sure it was a blast. Also, who doesn't like ABBA songs? It's feel good music, sung by beautiful people.

i'm embarrassed to say i don't know everyone's name. i'm looking after the herd while my son and daughter-in-law are showing off the grandson back east. i named Sprig, as is the tradition of being there for the birth (or soon thereafter in this case). and i know Liat, who was born last month (she's a smarty pants trouble-maker wanna be escape artist.)
Oh, it somehow got lost in the shuffle but the Talking Heads finally released their collection of early demos, packaged with some early live stuff, last year. IT'S INCREDIBLE.
This might not be ABBA's best song, although it has to be Top 10, but it absolutely is their most epic song. It's like their "Good Vibrations," they sort of throw everything in there.

funny fact: the only song I knew of theirs in the 70's was FERNANDO because it was on a compilation called "Sound Waves" by KTel Records, along with Diana Ross' Upside Down and Kiss' I was made for Loving You. Years later, in the 80's, I was wowed by the video for There's Something Going On by Frida but had no clue she was from ABBA!

- as a Blondie fanatic, sorry to hear it was ‘Auto-American’ (although certainly has its moments) yet after the stellar drama-power ‘eat to the beat’ & early pinnacle of ‘parallel lines’ it was a curious letdown 🙃 … well, at least it wasn’t the travesty that was ‘The Hunter’ 🫣🙄🫢😥. So happy they persisted & created many more quality albums!Esther Crow: funny fact: the only song I knew of theirs in the 70's was FERNANDO because it was on a compilation called "Sound Waves" by KTel Records, along with Diana Ross' Upside Down and Kiss' I was made for Loving You. Years later, in the 80's, I was wowed by the video for There's Something Going On by Frida but had no clue she was from ABBA!
