I went to the Alamo Drafthouse here a week ago and there were punks everywhere and I thought it was an interesting crowd, but it turned out there was some secret showing of a NOFX documentary.

The(e) Sleeveens were INCREDIBLE last night! So glad I got to see them and pick up the new LP for an extremely economical $20! That's Budget Rock!
They only want to show it as a limited release with no streaming plans. Needless to say I'm waiting on that leak

brycepunk1:
Had a friend back in the early 90's who was friends with the Lunachicks. Brought me to a few shows of theirs (Halloween and NYE at CBGB's stood out) Was an interesting time. Nikki, if you're out there, I miss you <3

Song:
"interview with Suzy Hotrod to talk about Pretty U...
I always assumed their name was Lunatic + Chicks.
That said, is "Lunatic" no longer considered an acceptable term?!?
Back in the mid-90's, in an effort to promote my band, I put out a fanzine, "The D.W. Friend Club, A Magazine in Celebration of D.W. Friend." One of the cover stories was "D.W. to Wed Theo."
And I had the pictures to prove it! Well, I had a picture with me and Theo, which I put on the cover to prove it.
Years later, her husband, Sean, told me they had a copy of that issue in their bathroom. (fart noise) I felt like I finally made it. The highlight of my failed career as a rock and roll stupor star.

Hey, I actually scored Jack White tix this time! (I posted here a year or two about how I stupidly didn't even try to get tix to his White Eagle Hall shows. Suzy's response, which I clearly needed to hear, was "Always go to the show!" That advice has served me well over the past couple years!
