efd:
happy Sunday night everyone! I've got Suzy's Pylon Reenactment Society session right here and we'll be hearing in about half an hour. Don't go anywhere!
I played Randy Now's Man Cave a couple years ago. Extremely cool venue. Harmonica player suffered a stroke an hour b4 we went onstage though. That was not good.
Pylon, it turns out, was the very first band I ever saw live -- opening for R.E.M. at my first concert, which was April Fool's weekend at the Omni in Atlanta to kick off the Green tour. Saw them again on that tour at a much cooler venue as well!
I didn't know Pylon before then (in my defense, I was fourteen), and still remember the feeling of my mind being blown by their set!
The worst thing was, he was a technophobe. Didn't have any contact info on his phone. It took the hospital people 3 or 4 days to find his family. He recovered, but sadly passed away a few months later.

Hi Listeners! Thanks for all the kind healing words. All those years of playing roller derby did not seem to prepare me for Suzy vs Pothole. Pothole 1, Suzy 0. Thanks EFD for being my relief jammer. I hope everyone enjoys this Pylon Reenactment Society set. They were so lovely and I was honored they were able to visit.
Speaking as someone who's gone over the handlebars twice, I feel your pain. Good thing is, it's temporary. Hope to see you back in the saddle again soon!

Cemetary Dave:
I had a friend like that in regards to the Grateful Dead. He took me to see them in '91/'92 at Giants Stadium. Got there early. Walked around the parking lot checking out the "vendors."
Show starts. We go inside and to our seats. About an hour and a half in, some woman a few rows in front of us gets up, takes off her top, and dances and bounces about for several minutes, puts her top back on, and sits down. Soon after, my friend nudges me and asks "You wanna leave?" So we leave and that was that. Meh.
