Yeah. But people a block away were literally knocked unconscious. We have an elementary school down the block and a parent tried to go from her car to the school during the hail and got knocked out and concussed on her way to the front door. CRAZY.
I was in lockdown at Ottumwa High. My wife was in our house while it was happening. Luckily the hail missed my car, which was outside. And hers was inside the garage. But a Toyota dealership a few blocks away had all of the cars in their lot completely destroyed.

I lived in Joplin, MO before I came here. Luckily, I got out of there before the Cat 5 tornado hit in 2011. Two of the rental houses I had there were destroyed, along with the hospital, the high school, one of the three Walmarts, a couple of retirement homes, and a shit-ton of trailer parks. This shit is scary
I guess as coastal dweller it's somewhat hard for me to imagine such disasters happening in the flat, seemingly placid middle regions... All the best to you!!
