I once had an eBay purchase come with some free issues of Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen. (I mean, what I ordered was a trade collection of Jimmy Olsen comics, but it was still odd to just ship multiple original '60s comics with that.)
Probably! I think that mix debuted on the 2000 remastered/expanded CD of 'Greatest Hits.' Very balanced, but definitely far less punchy than the original mono.

Just learned that one of these guys from Upper Crust (Nat Freedburg) was the label boss behind Del Fuegos first 45. Has a great web presence. Maybe old news to some.
The Kroffts did a brief interview on the making making of Pink Lady and Jeff here: www.youtube.com...
They said their only real idea after learning that neither of the singers could speak English was to purposely make the most surreal show anyone had ever seen before in hopes that the bizarre nature would generate publicity. NBC's Fred Silverman refused and insisted on a big budget variety show.
The Kroffts doing a straight-laced variety show, Japanese singers doing skits in a language they can't speak, and Jeff Altman chosen to host because... why not? Just bizarre choices all around.
That who.e Fred Silverman era of NBC was hilarious. I tried to research it once but it was like the network had buried it because they were so embarassed by all the failure.
