dreamyandseedy: i'm still listening to the archives. in one show you mentioned The Boston Tea Party album being in your top 5. i listened to it and it really is something special. all the guitar solos are very interesting. there's something different about that album, even for that time period/year when there was so much interesting/weird/cool stuff. too bad there isn't more info about them. Avatar 2:42pm
Blissland:

↳ Jay S. @2:41

well sadly I believe that too Avatar 2:42pm

Deano de los Muertos: “Wyoming County, NY”
like, seriously? Avatar 🌼 Swag For Life Member 2:43pm
Deano de los Muertos: Unnecessarily complicated Avatar 2:44pm
zoelpw:

↳ Blissland @2:38

You know what, you're totally right never thought abt that connection! carefree idealism in youth crossing generations Avatar 2:45pm
Blissland: it gets confusing. For instance there are 5 separate counties in the city of new york. And the city of kingston is in the town of ulster. I lived in the town of kingston in which the city of kingston is not Avatar 2:47pm
zoelpw:

↳ dreamyandseedy @2:42

Thank you for listening dreamyandseedy!! Yes love that album so much, sometimes I think they were a studio band because Flick Disc was an MGM subsidiary to capitalize on the swingin' youth. They had other historically named bands like the American Revolution... makes me suspicious that they were for hire. Or maybe a band MGM paid to change their name? Even more frustrating is that club called the Boston Tea Party & that muddies the search query.... Avatar 🌼 Swag For Life Member 2:48pm
vanhooserd:

↳ zoelpw @2:42

I'm just repeating what Discogs says. Wikipedia says he served 1968-70. Maybe Casey deserved a punch. Avatar 🌼 Swag For Life Member 2:49pm

Yeah, but most of us know the 5 in NY. And surely anyone that’s ever heard Rex’s show Avatar 2:49pm

one avenue (rabbit hole?) to search is finding their music on youtube and going through the comments. i've noticed many times people who were in the band will comment on the video with random stories and memories. and not just music videos, i've noticed it in old documentaries also. That's a really good point, I have found a couple of people that way. Sometimes I feel too late when they comment 9 or 10 yrs ago... but that is definitely a rabbit hole I should revisit Avatar 2:55pm

but - i was at a petrol station on rt 22, nj (springfield?) there was another guy there who's tank was full but the attendant was fucking around inside. we could see him; he was fucking around!
so i pumped my own. finally the guy came out, looked at my fuel, pumping, took the other guy's money, then said if a cop sees me doing it i'll get arrested.
i said okay.

speaking of...
...last time i supposedly needed a cat it was because the pipe broke right at the inlet. so i bought an aftermarket one for ~$200(250?... i've forgotten, but it was 1/3-1/4 the cost of oem. the whole job was going to be 4-500$) i figured it didn't matter much, as the car was old enough to not need to pass emissions tests anyway.
