When I still lived in Phoenix, I was always leaving food for all the ferals. There was a beautiful calico I fed every day (and stood watch so the male ferals wouldn't steal from her)... broke my heart when I moved - hope somebody picked up on helping her. Her owner threw her outside when she got pregnant - she wanted to come in my apartment, but I already had three kitties (including one of her kittens now grown), there would've been no place for her to hide from them, so sad...
