I was just reading about the flare expected on the 17 - 18th. Though they say likely visible in New York, I'm sure they mean upstate. For NYC to have a chance of seeing anything they would have to include New Jersey, plus there is fairly constant light pollution in the city.

I mentioned last week about seeing the LS survivors (Rossington-Collins) perform Free Bird live (planes were a menace)...the bouncers were crazy at that show, I remember they got a redneck pinned up at the stage, he got a baggie out and threw it into the crowd and they beat the hell out of him.
When Don and I were younger, the local Phoenix radio station played all that crap to death! L.S., Allman brothers, Marshall Tucker, Charlie Daniels Band ... and I still sayvto this day, that if I never heard any of that ever again, it'd still be too soon!

First time I was exposed to his films, my older brother took me to the Mill Avenue theatre in Tempe Az., to see Multiple Maniacs, Pink Flamingoes and Desperate Living for my 19th birthday! I was real in to geek jokes back then, so with Crackers and his chickdns, I was in heaven!

He brought back the record of the stage show, so we were somewhat familiar with it when we saw TRHPS premiere, at Town & Country theatre, in Phoenix! Me, Chris, Alan Barrows, and Bob Campbell!
