Saw this band at SXSW in Austin a very long time ago. The lead singer had a big-time drama episode and they ended the set early. But I do like the song.
Oh yes! I love throwing it all away and starting over. I did, however, eventually have a few boxes of vinyl shipped over that sat in someone's basement. That was worth keeping!

Good Morning Clay and glisteners from Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, I returned from California last night. I was stuck in Kennedy airport for nearly two and a half hours and didn't arrive home until after three in the morning. I'm really happy to be home and listening live to Wake & Bake.
Getting there, getting there, Scott!! End of June, no more classes for me. Back for the month of September. Official retirement date is 10/1/26. Thanks for asking. Focusing on the end of year stuff right now. How about you? are you only 50? When are you looking at the Big R?

@BOSTON SCOTT. Caught your latest show on the ARCHIVE yesterday. Excellent stuff as always. Warm in BEANTOWN? 90s here in south Florida. Nothing unusual about that!
Very proud of him. He crashed and burned on a football scholarship, but picked himself up, got his shit together, and graduating Cum Laude. Stellar character!🩷🩷🩷

@SQUINTS. HBD to ya sistah! My sister's birthday(#75!) was on May 10. She got to celebrate Mom's Day as well!

Maryanne:
Why is having a collection "hoarding"?
Going back to age 13 and having only 13 records, and being so in awe of a cousin who had thousands and let me borrow many at a time. My collection today is my 13 year old self's dream. :)

StringOFperils:
It's like collecting butterflies. And a way of mapping life.
what are possessions? just more to weigh one down. including the vinyl.
except for instruments and recordings, i gave away/donated/dumpstered everything accumulated from 50 years in Brooklyn.
three moves later all i got is
clothes, tech, instruments and dog.
when i get wistful or nostalgic missing something i remind myself i had it and enjoyed it.
in a way i still have it all.
What i mean is often people collect things just to have them, they don't necessarily actively use them. People with thousands of records can't possibly play them all. I have about 350 (whittled down from about 600) I actively listen to all of them.

Maryanne:
Pol in Berlin == Who hurt you? I was being kind.
It's not about "being proud" -- what's wrong with loving music and listening to it on vinyl or CD and not being a streaming person? Isn't that what WFMU is about? I truly hope your day gets better. Sending love and support! HUGS! xo
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to attack you. It's a semantic issue maybe. I mean the word collecting instead of buying. I love vinyl too, but I don't "collect" it, I just buy a record when I like the artist.
Thank you. Unfortunately any time i read about the shit Trump is perpetrating on the USA and Americans I almost want to vomit. It makes it hard to stay positive, but thanks anyway.

what are possessions? just more to weigh one down. including the vinyl.except for instruments and recordings, i gave away/donated/dumpstered everything accumulated from 50 years in Brooklyn.
three moves later all i got is
clothes, tech, instruments and dog.
when i get wistful or nostalgic missing something i remind myself i had it and enjoyed it.
in a way i still have it all.
