Of course, I meant tuned in, not turned in, I’m not in bed yet, I’m only typing like I am. FWIW I think I’ve heard pretty much every Hilary Hahn performance, and I think this really is her at her best.
Yea, we sleep in other rooms until I stopped smoking, 18 years off, but 3 cats sleep with me an Princess Squeek sleeps with her. So we sleep in our rooms. Unless... :) It works.
Am much as I'm having the time of my life today, I'm still content with being what the song and Sheila B. called an occasional man. But never say never!
So I just rolled up to my porch after my bike ride back from LES, and *now* what do I hear? My favorite girl-group song ever. You are truly killing it, DJ Gaylord
The trio consisted of Nat on piano, Oscar Moore on guitar, and Wesley Prince on double bass - the absence of a drummer making the combo unique among the swing/jazz outifts of that time (legend has it that Cole was to form a quartet with Lee Young (2) on drums, but prior to his first engagement, Young no-showed and the drumless trio came about). The trio played in Los Angeles throughout the late 1930s and recorded many radio transcriptions.
I really appreciate you noticing! I had certain set pieces I wanted to build toward and anticipate and call back. I believe in the magic of radio programming with all my little heart.
My glasses won't fit if my head gets any bigger from the kind words! And while I'm often at a loss for words when people ask me to describe my show, the word "journey" is the one I rely on.
