Not really. My family didn't really go out for food when I was a kid. If we got any food from a restaurant, it was always to-go, to eat at home. But I saw a nice Pizza Hut in the early 90's, when I was living on my own at first. I don't think that place lasted long after.

↳ Song: "It’s Tricky" by "Run-DMC"

One of the most important albums of the late 80's!
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 8:37pm
Austin Rich:

↳ postconsumer @8:35

My opinion is probably not very useful, because I bonded with HitchHiker's Guide pretty hard as a young person, and I've re-read those books countless times. I certainly recommend them, but I might be too close to the subject to give you a fair recommendation.
Avatar 8:37pm
postconsumer:

↳ Austin Rich @8:34

two things: 1. i haven't returned to the x-files since randomly tuning in to one of it's most disturbing episodes as my intro to the series. I still haven't recovered. ha.

2. Bob's Burgers is Essential Viewing if you or anyone you love is neuro-diverse. I LOVE that show...

The radio series still holds up today
Avatar 8:38pm

↳ Austin Rich @8:37

I'm way overdue for a first listen to the radio show. it's on my list
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 8:38pm
Austin Rich:

↳ postconsumer @8:37

I'm sure I'll dig it when I see it. I just don't watch a lot of TV in general.

My wife and I both bonded hard with X-Files when it was originally on, but we've never seen it together. It seems like a good thing to watch together.

Avatar 8:43pm

↳ Austin Rich @8:40

You will beg for them to finish that bloody song
Avatar 8:44pm
postconsumer: The original version of this started out with Def Lepard, for the same reason this Aerosmith is played. Two rock songs I LIKE, despite being very, very overplayed. The idea was that the new format/robo dj at WIXU only played the most obvious cuts off the album. After listening a couple of times I couldn't bear it anymore. Sorry, def lepard
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 8:45pm
Bandit: I need a WIXU bumper sticker
Avatar 8:45pm

Is t here more than one version of Hitchhikers?
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 8:45pm

Avatar 8:46pm

now that's a good idea... maybe I'll make up bumperstickers for all the radio stations I've paid homage to w Radio Retrofit...
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 8:46pm
Bandit:

↳ Austin Rich @8:45

Wiggle Room premium this coming marathon? 🤔🤔🤔
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 8:46pm
Austin Rich:

↳ postconsumer @8:45

Not really. There's the "OG" ones they made in the 70's. Then sometime in the mid-2000's they "remastered" them, and made a few more new series, to cover the remaining books. (The original series only covered the first two books, essentially.)
Avatar 8:46pm
postconsumer: WKRP, KBHR, AFVN (Armed Forces Vietnam Network), etc

Avatar 8:50pm

yeah! kind of steals focus from the rest of the shows though... we only get one premium concept per year, i think. If I print any up, myself, maybe I could add them to whatever gets made for Sheena
Avatar 8:52pm
postconsumer:

↳ Imaginos @8:47

These last two are a whole new conlusion to the show. It's half the reason I wanted to do a new version...
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 8:52pm
Austin Rich: This might be the only Built To Spill song I really like anymore. I used to love this album, but as I get older I'm just not so into it anymore. But this song is still pretty clever.
Avatar 8:52pm

Avatar 8:53pm
