We had to close our clinic to all in-person visits so our folks could avoid the traffic nightmares. It's kind of paralyzed the city. (It's also said to be infusing the region with $200 million, so maybe we just have to suck it up?)
Right on. I'd bet that tens of millions of Muricans who aren't aware of the recently enacted automatic military draft registration are het up about the National Concussionball League's draft.
I made a point of bumming my nephew out about this at his 12th birthday party -- only six more years!
10:40am
Simply Simon:
I spent my teen years being worried about the draft, which was promptly abolished when I reached draft age. Ruined my adolescence.
My mother always said that if I got drafted, she would shoot me in the foot. It wasn't until decades later that I learned she would have asked my permission first.
I was old enough to be drafted-some friends and I went to a "Draft Dodger Yeshiva" to get a deferment (it turned out that the yeshiva was phony, a way for the teacher to get us to learn more Torah/bible and Talmud). I wound up with a draft number high enough to not have to worry (or continue yeshiva).

Maybe far scarier than the drafted, StringOFperils, are the monsters among those who sign up willingly. (Obviously not all who do so are monsters. My father, for instance, who signed up to fight the Nazis.)
How about this skunkass motherfucker who made $400,000 betting on a prediction market that Maduro would get captured. And the next day, he was part of the special forces that captured maduro?

I suspect the Iran "excursion' is primarily a mercenary operation, a quid pro quo for Arab nations buying up Trump's cryptocurrency, giving him jets, etc. Saudi Arabia vs Iran was the Middle Eastern endgame, and the fix was in when bin Salman gave that Kushner dork billions for his startup.
