Anyway, this 1968 unreleased Billy Nicholls LP was hyped to the heavens for decades as an "completely Pet Sounds-ish lost classic" -- When it was finally released in the 1990s, it actually transcended the hype. It is indeed amazing!

StringOFperils: There used to be a nightspot/restaurant near here. Lots of chintz and overstuffed old chairs and Queen paraphernalia (for wry sub-textual reasons). Anyway, there was an old lady who lived on the streets who dumpster dived near their kitchen as part of her travels. The kitchen, and the owner got to know her and treated her with respect; they prepared meals for her and kept her in mind. there came a day when the business was in hot-water, having a hard time paying their suppliers, and Mr. P, the proprietor, was out back in the alley talking to her about it, and she showed up the next day with nearly 200 grand and gave it to him!   10:53am
