Hiya Pauly! Me neither, and I also realized that I hadn't spun anything from Caress Of Steel on the show yet, so it became the obvious opener for tonite.
I have a feeling this show is going to school me on CDN hard rock. I'm familiar with a lot of OG punk but FMU is constantly schooling me on music from the early 70s.
Absolutely. In theory, I'm planning a spotlight show for him one of these days. Gotta fill some gaps in the collection first, but I'll get to it eventually.
Frank, your show is awesome, one of my faves on WFMU for sure! A whole Merryweather show would be cool, he had a crazy career. Could throw in some Symphonic Slam, Mama Lion, all kindsa stuff.

Jay Current:
Show is going great! Really wish my headphone cord hadn't broken - doesn't feel as good on my desktop speakers.
Well, thank you Wolves! I agree, there's so much to choose from when doing a show on Neil. Maybe too much! I always find it tough to narrow it down to only an hour's worth of music when I do those spotlight shows, but I do like the challenge and it leaves anyone discovering the artist for the first time plenty of space to explore on their own if I've left them wanting more.
Thanks Jay! And too bad about the headphones. At least you're able to make due with the speakers. Hopefully you can get yourself a new set of cans sooner rather than later.
Thanks Terre! Looking forward to your DJ set on Saturday at Lucky Dog bar in Williamsburg along with RKO and the newest addition to the Rock And Soul family and Rotations crew, Jen Jones! 9-2AM at 303 Bedford Ave, yeah?
Great band out of Germany. This when they start to get a bit heavier, but their prior albums are a good blend of psych and pop. Definitely no strangers to fuzz.
Amazing news! Astonishingly, they still have not sold out yet. It's totally flying under the radar despite the best efforts of Johnny St. Booze and myself, but I think people are gonna catch on eventually and they'll be SOL because all the copies of the album will be gone!
Yeah, they're great. And that was an early unreleased track. Their proper album is great too, but they lost a bit of this heaviness a bit by the time they recorded it.
I'll be spinning a new track from a current band on next week's show that makes excellent use of organ.

Hiya Snayle! Glad to give you some energy this evening!
Everyone gotta check out Snayle's show "Combos Akimbo" on Saturdays from 9-11PM here on R&S Radio; immediately following "We're Outta Sight" with Stu from 7-9, of course!
Enjoy Scotty! Seems like this was one of the rare days where it was nice weather on both sides of the globe!
