"Imposter" by Oingo Boingo is a scathing response directed at rock music critics, specifically targeting writers at the Los Angeles Times who gave the band negative reviews early in their career.

DanFA:
Boingo were one of those bands where the albums were slicky-produced, but live were a different story.
I don't think they ever got the credit they deserved for how they twisted the new wave sound by incorporating horns, unusual guitar sounds, and other instruments like marimba. Elfman's vocals here don't age that well, to be honest.
