WR:
there was a song and movie Thunder Road in 1958. "The Ballad of Thunder Road", sung by Randy Sparks in the sound track and also the lead actor, Robert Mitchum dis a version.
This Bo Diddley track was a favorite of British Invasion bands. The Pretty Things, The Zombies, The Animals, and The Who have played it. Apparently The Rolling Stones actually recorded a version just barely within show limits on March 1963 (not sure if that version saw a commercial release though.) Wayne Fontana didn't get his B-side version out until June though.
Listener comments!
