Another listener tuning in from New Orleans, where the weather seems very pleasant to me. Its election day, we're choosing U.S. Senate candidates in a primary, and voting down Governor Landry's constitutional amendments that he keeps trying to push on us.
Way too many mosquitos though. The Port of New Orleans knocked down the big old crumbling brick warehouse across the street from me yesterday, it's a whole new view. I can see the sunset from my front porch.
Me too! I love how he talks between every song, giving us little tidbits of info about the song, record, artist, whatever. Very engaging. And his little promos are great.

I remember the Annex, & the bookstore (probably went to a signing or 2 there). I think that whole complex (original store, Annex & bookstore) only lasted a year or 2. Ironically, there was even an independent record store (Outsider Music, maybe? someone here will know) that had a sign with the same yellow-and-red color & typeface as Tower, down the block from Tower. I wonder how many out-of-towners & others walked in there thinking it was part of Tower.
Interesting point. I remember when I was seeing shows at one point at Max's Kansas City and some other weird short-lived joints that Buzz and The Flyers would always open.

I remember the Annex, & the bookstore (probably went to a signing or 2 there). I think that whole complex (original store, Annex & bookstore) only lasted a year or 2. Ironically, there was even an independent record store (Outsider Music, maybe? someone here will know) that had a sign with the same yellow-and-red color & typeface as Tower, down the block from Tower.
